Financial Systems and Project Accountant.  

  • Salary circa £60,000 per annum plus benefits. 
  • 37 hours per week with Flexitime.

The role & what you take care: 

Magna are seeking an experienced and dedicated Financial Systems and Project Accountant to lead and co-ordinate finance system updates and change. With transformation to a new finance system due, this role will play a vital role in the successful implementation of new tools, ensuring robust data sharing with other systems. Aligned to this, and the ongoing development of system tools, this role will drive continuous improvement throughout the finance function, enhancing the support we provide to the business.  Together, we aim to foster outstanding business partnerships, achieve long-term success, and provide excellent homes and services that improve our customers’ lives.

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as working with numerous stakeholders will be key, as well as a progressive, positive attitude.
  • The role will provide tactical support and technical advice in the delivery of new systems, as well as systems controls to ensure Magna is compliant with Financial Regulations.
  • Aligned with a best value thinking, this role will also review the wider value for money that Magna provides, supporting reporting as required.

What you need to be successful: 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience enabling you to contribute effectively as a member of the senior finance leadership team, complemented by project management expertise and a strategic approach to execution, with a continual focus on future objectives.
  • A flexible communication style able to adapt to audience and situation to achieve buy-in and successful outcomes, consistently upholding personal integrity and accountability, while representing as a true ambassador of Magna's Vision and Values!
  • An understanding of the Social Housing Sector and it's regulatory and political landscape would be advantageous.
  • CCAB finance qualification or equivalent level of demonstrable experience.
